Protective Coating for Reinforcement

Surface Preparation

• TMT bars must be free from rust, oil, dust, and laitance

• Cleaned to ISO 8501-1 St 2/St 3 or Sa 2.5 standards

Application Instructions

• Apply by brush, roller, or spray

• Exposed reinforcement → 2 coat Diamond PRIMER + 2 coats DIAMOND SHIELD

• Embedded reinforcement → 2 coats DIAMOND SHIELD before concrete pour

• Repairs/Retrofitting → 2 coat Diamond PRIMER + 2 coats DIAMOND SHIELD before patching

Coverage and Curing

• Coverage: ~80 kg of TMT bar per litre (for 2 coats)

• Film thickness designed to meet DFT performance requirements

• Touch dry: ~4-6 hrs

• Recoat: 4–6 hrs

• Full cure: 6–8 days

• Avoid water/chemical exposure for minimum 48 hrs post-application

Safety & Storage

• Use gloves, masks, and proper ventilation

• Keep away from flames/heat

• Store in cool, dry place
